VINTAGE JAPANESE WW2 1 SEN COIN DAI NIPPON MT. FUJI & CHRYSANTHEMUM 1942

Description

One of the smaller yet quietly elegant coins.
It features Mt. Fuji and the imperial
chrysanthemum
mon
(family crest) with the “one sen” mark. On the obverse side is the words, “Dai Nippon” or Great Japan and the date, Showa 17 or the 17th year of Showa (1942).
It was minted during WW2 and made of aluminum to save on the more needed copper and brass resources for the war effort.  About the size of a dime (1.6 cm) and in
